Bye Bye 2009

I am so lazy with this blog, but I had too may fun pics from the holidays not to share them.

This year Santa's visit to our family took place at Greg and Lindsey's since Mom and Dad's house was a shambles with the kitchen remodel (not by choice- by leak!). Peter would have nothing to do with Santa, just like last year. He would however take a gift from him, unlike last year. He even chatted with him, but there was no way he was going to sit on that guy's lap! Sammi and Elizabeth were much better behaved.

Peter's anxiety about Santa subsided for his preschool class program. When Santa came he chose Peter to be Rudolph. It was pretty freakin' cute....see how he's trying to look at the nose when it blinked?

These pics below are more from Santa's visit, but they are all Elizabeth. She had a great talk with my Dad and was in a really good mood until the end when I wanted a family picture. She cried for all of them, thus the reason they are not posted. Our little addition is so cute!

Christmas Eve at my parents is always fun. We have great food, and some people get to open presents. Peter had fun trying to help anyone who had anything to open. Elizabeth was Santa....so glad I saved that little outfit, my Mom gave it to Peter when he was born. I'll have to post a comparison picture.

Christmas morning at our house was full of sleepy people. James and I were sleepy from, well, you know. Sammi was sleepy because she couldn't sleep..truly excited to see what Santa brought (she had no specific request- just told him to bring whatever he wanted). Peter was sleepy because he wouldn't go to sleep the night before and Elizabeth, well luckily she stayed asleep until all the present opening by the rest of the family was over.

New Year's Eve was full of the usual festivities, and was too many treats for someone who is trying to loose the baby weight (not trying very hard though). We took Peter in his pj's this time so he didn't wake up when we got home. While most of us played games (Catch Phrase and Apples to Apples are the current favorites), he played with Mr. Potato Head. Elizabeth supervised.

We tried to do sparklers for the kids at midnight, but it was too windy and they kept blowing out.
All in all it was a pretty good year and a wonderful holiday season. Hope 2010 is just a good!
